Fall is in the air. Somewhere. Here in Southern Florida we pretend the palm fronds are changing colors and the air is crisp.
As I experience my first Autumn in a sub-tropical climate, I think its important to try to incorporate fall pieces into my daily style.
For this look, I relied on one of my favorite go-to’s for a high fashion feeling without a high fashion price-tag – – Zara. If you do not have a Zara in your area, their website is amazing and they have free return shipping.
As you may have noticed, I strive for an eclectic vibe in my fashion choices, mixing textures, colors and fabrics in an unexpected way. Here, I paired an olive green satin bomber jacket with a blue-cropped top with sequin detail and a houndstooth mini skirt. For your own personal style, don’t be afraid to try unique combinations of items from your own closet. It’s a great way to expand your wardrobe without spending a dime.
For accessories, I chose my velvet over-the-knee boots (a must this season—check back on the blog for my Thursday round up featuring over-the-knee boots) and a burgundy Chanel bag. If your budget allows, a classic designer bag is a great investment. I am always amazed at how a luxe handbag can pull together even the most basic outfit. If you do splurge on this accessory, opt for a neutral color and a style that is not overly trendy.
