In a season filled with layers and boots and drama, sometimes a few simple pieces can be a standout on their own. My look for today’s post captures that essence by pairing a black ruffle-sleeve top with a plaid flouncy skirt. The skirt Milly, which is part school girl/part kilt is flirty and fun and works well for work or weekends. The black See by Chloe top has a romantic quality while still maintaining a little edge.
This look works great for a warmer or more moderate climate because it has a fall quality without heavy fabrication. A pair of tights, boots, and a coat would easily make this style cold weather appropriate.
Of course, I always give my shoes the job of kicking my look up a notch, and these jewel-encrusted Louboutin’s are pure show-stoppers. I have added a classic black Dior bag to round out the look.
