This is it. My very first from apple to orange blog post. For this maiden look, I chose an edgy pair of boyfriend jeans by Rag & Bone with a simple black bodysuit (omnipresent these days) and a fabulous pair of chain-link Chanel heels. At the last minute, I grabbed one my most treasured items, a hand-crafted 1970’s jean jacket lovingly made by my original fashion icon, my mother. She wore this jacket on an NBC game show she appeared on with my father (and actually won a boat-load of prizes including a two-week trip to St. Thomas!) This “lucky” jacket has amazing detail including a fabric upholstery collar and cuffs, sequin appliqués, patches, rhinestones and an adorable little bee. I capped off this look with a velvet gold-star choker from Zara.

This look encompasses my fashion philosophy to a tee: high-end pieces mixed with vintage finds combined with everyday items from my wardrobe.
