I love this time of year. The hustle and bustle as everyone shuffles from one holiday party to the next, or from one 50% off sale to another, or from one Starbuck’s eggnog latte to a Dunkin Donuts Peppermint mocha. One of the best hopes of a Florida winter is the utterance by the local weather person of this magical phrase, “sweater weather.” It doesn’t happen often, but when it does, I am elated. There is something so enticing about snuggling up inside a cozy sweater and this season’s options do not disappoint. The endless variety of knits, colors and textures have me wanting to book a ticket to the the North Pole or at least the Northeast!
The showstopper at the top of this post by Gucci is a tour de force with its amazing color combination, sequin cuffs and trim and big blue birds. Not looking for so much attention from your winter wear? Consider the APC crewneck sweater below in that amazing shade of blue that would work on any complexion (even those of us who turn a particularly pale shade of pale in the winter). I am also loving the cool 70’s vibe of the striped Knitts Roanne Sweater and can picture it with a great pair of black super flared pants. I also love the gray Topshop Chunky Wide Ribbed Rolled Neck Sweater which seems like the perfect piece for a movie date night paired with ripped jeans and your favorite white booties. And how fun is the amazing green Frill Neck sweater below? I can’t get enough of that color green. If your lucky enough to have light eyes, it would be a perfect accent for you.
